“No Computer is secure” Dr. Tapang warns the delegates to the Y4IT 2008. Since many people today keep their data in digital form in mediums, such as, hard drives, flash disks and the likes, people are more vulnerable to attacks on data and privacy, since information is stored on how devices are used. Computer Forensics is the discovery, preservation and analysis and presentation of electronic evidence. It is similar to data recovery, but has more legal implications. In computer forensics, we look for files, folders, applications, log files and file system artifacts in hard drives, removable media, network, memory, network hardware and archival media and recovering them. We use techniques in computer forensics in order to protect our information.
